GFV — an international standard for professional gyms

GFV is an international certification system created to distinguish professional gyms from general fitness facilities and establish a clear global mark of quality.

Our mission is to recognize gyms that have earned professional status while giving athletes greater confidence when choosing the right place to train.

The GFV platform is now live

Professional gyms can now claim their club on the GFV platform, present it to athletes, and apply for GFV certification. The interactive map and the global gym directory are open at gfverified.com.

Important: Registration does not guarantee certification. Every gym is evaluated according to the same GFV criteria, without exception.

The GFV system and interactive map

The GFV platform is built around an interactive global map. It lists gyms worldwide and clearly marks the certified ones, helping athletes identify high-quality training facilities in their own city or while traveling abroad.

Every club that claims its listing gets its own profile where it can present photos, descriptions, pricing, facilities, and other relevant information. This allows professional gyms to present themselves clearly while helping athletes make faster and more confident decisions.

Applied criteria

To be accepted into the GFV system and receive certification, gyms must meet clear, measurable, and uniform requirements applied equally to all applicants. Five mandatory requirements come first — if one is not met, certification cannot be granted:

  • Training space and equipment
  • Member facilities and hygiene
  • Staff, coaching and operations
  • Safety and maintenance
  • Public information

A gym that meets them is then evaluated across all fifteen GFV areas as a whole. The full standard — every requirement and all fifteen areas — is published at gfverified.com/standard.

Transparency and independent evaluation

To prevent conflicts of interest, the GFV system incorporates clear mechanisms that protect independent evaluation:

  • Independent experts — assessments are carried out by external specialists not linked to equipment sales or manufacturing
  • Separate GFV team — certification decisions are made by a dedicated unit independent from commercial activities
  • Public criteria — requirements are clearly defined and applied equally to every gym
  • Objective process — no equipment manufacturer or supplier can influence the results

This protects the integrity of the GFV standard and ensures that all gyms are evaluated by the same rules.

Colossus — the symbol of GFV recognition

Colossus is a monumental steel figure created as a tribute to strength, discipline, and focus. Designed in a polygonal style, it reflects true human proportions and creates a powerful visual presence.

We dedicated 12 months to designing and refining every detail so that the sculpture combines artistic character with technical precision.

Colossus is not intended for every gym. It is a visible status symbol reserved for clubs that meet professional standards and earn the right to represent GFV recognition.
